The rubber rollers are designed to squeeze water and or chemicals out of substrates, these applications include bleaching, dyeing, mercerising and slashing. Roller coverings used in these applications must withstand the chemistry and temperatures; caustic is used in a majority of mills and most wet applications operating in a temperature range of 80 to 100C. Additionally the dynamic properties are crucial for the rollers to operate under high pressure and speeds and to be able to withstand elevated temperatures in the aqueous media.
